A new series of works, revolving around a specific idea. While developing the drawing for the end work I will be creating a series of sketches and occasionally fleshing them out further digitally.

Corporate animation, 3D work was out-sourced, the 2D animation was created using Photoshop for the figure (frame by frame) and combined in AfterEffects.

Flash programming and animation for South African Red Cross Fund-raising, selected as as an official Adobe Site of the Day (Monday, June 2, 2008 and throughout the weekend). Not my design, though I assisted.

CD Rom Designs

CD Rom for the South African tourist attraction, the Kruger National Park. Designed in Photoshop and created using Flash (2008).

Website Designs

Below are examples of a few websites I have designed as well as coded. They do not link through to live sites as many have been altered or are no longer live.

All i-Stock images were bought and replaced at some stage.

Updated their logo and designed (but did not do the the Joomla work) their site. (2009)

As the company was happy with the above, I created a new logo for a new site and created the English & Chinese website. (2010)

Working very much with client ideas, and making them more tasteful. (2010)

Design for company that was doing fountains, once they changed to landscaping it all made less sense. Logo and print work created too. (2010)

The footer was changed for the live version, but I thought it quite fun as it is seen here. (2010)

Designer for a USA doctor, who parted ways with the company that I was with at the time of creation. No longer live. (2009)

Design for clothing store, who lost their domain. I created the drawings as well. (2010)

The colours were changed for the live site, to something less soft. (2010)

Home page, for which I did design, photography, video filming & editing, Flash animation, html & css. (2009).

Secondary pages featured video I filmed and edited (2009).

Home page design for WordPress based website. Template was coded as well (2009).

Gas Mask Studies

Gas Mask Studies are a mix of ideas revolving around gas masks – painted, drawn and in some cases, digitally collaged. This idea will be explored further in the future, as the false face of man, made permanent apparel in some future scenario, is a rich field for images.

Digital CD Covers for Charl Zero

Covers for Charl Zero digital mix releases, 2010 onwards. A range of inspiration and requirements to ‘please the client’ has made this a very fun project to work on.

Charl Zero is currently a DJ in Cape Town, South Africa where he plays a variety of music and specialises in commercial and progressive house at various clubs and events. Visit his site for downloads.

Manipulations

A selection of photo manipulations taking humble photographs to another level with the use of Adobe Photoshop.

Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria, BC. Seemed like it could be a bit larger so I made it so.

Some crabs arranged on a beach in Cape Town, with colour cast fixed and additional narrative added.

The paintings by Magritte of doves that are plants moved me deeply. I scanned a dead pigeon and created a version of this amazing work.

Product mock-ups of glow in the dark bands, added to dogs and people. Small image above shows original photos used for the first example.
